Getting Setup
Complete the steps below and follow along with the setup video.
Let's get your new WiFi Pineapple Pager ready for action!
FIRST
Charge it up fully
Resist the urge to power it on. Connect your Pager’s USB-C port to a phone or laptop charger (not included). Charge it until the power LED changes from red to green.
SECOND
Download the firmware
Click here to download the latest firmware onto your computer, or hit up the Pager section of downloads.hak5.org
THIRD
Connect it to your PC
Plug your computer into the Pager’s USB-C port. Your computer will detect it as a USB Ethernet adapter and automatically get an IP.
FOURTH
Browse to the setup page
Open your web browser, then navigate to http://172.16.52.1 and follow the on screen instructions.
Charging FAQ
What are the charging indicators?
The LED next to the USB-C port shows the charging status:
If the LED does not show a solid red light while charging (e.g. blinking or alternating color), try a different charger.
Which chargers are compatible?

How long does it take to charge?
A full charge from 0% to 100% typically takes 2.5–4 hours, depending on the charger used.
Can I charge from my computer?
Not all computer USB-C ports support device charging. If your Pager doesn’t charge when connected directly, using a USB hub may allow it to charge properly.
Charge Troubleshooting
If the device does not indicate that it is either charging (solid red) or fully charged (solid green) here are some steps you can take:
Do not attempt initial setup until the Pager has successfully indicated via the charging LED that it is charging (solid red) or fully charged (solid green).
